Colin was part of a small group of composers and lyricists who were chosen to work with Leslie Arden in Theatre 20's inaugural Composium Lab. It was the first course of its kind in Canada. Colin was then one of twelve writers selected for the CMTWC Writers Workshop, taught by Leslie Arden and a rotating faculty of guest artists, including David Warrack, Neil Bartram, Jim Betts, Jonathan Monro, Richard Ouzounian, and Daniel Maté.

He is currently writing a Theatre for Young Audiences musical entitled Dorian Drew, based on a Brothers Grimm fairy-tale.

Colin was the music assistant on Junkyard Productions’ Toronto workshop of the new musical Diana, based on Princess Diana’s life, written by the creative team behind Memphis and The Toxic Avenger, Joe DiPietro and David Bryan. It was directed by Christopher Ashley (Tony-Award winner for Best Direction, Come From Away) and musically directed by Ian Eisendrath (Come From Away, A Christmas Story).
